Claude Straub

Touching sensitive and a monster of kindness, Claude is a winemaker whose personality is as endearing as his wines. Claude took over from his uncle on the estate. The latter, always present on the estate is a hard worker, who knows plants, bees and knows how to live in harmony with his environment. Claude now cultivates a little more than 6 hectares, all his plots are concentrated around his village of Blienschwiller.

Claude is a beautiful person, always smiling, eyes sparkling the right and benevolent word, it is always a little happiness to spend a time with him. Claude cultivates old vines, walking between the feet of these old sylvaners is a real adventure! Mutinous vines, playful and reactive, full of life and malice, quiet and happy.

Claude is measured and fair in his gestures as winegrowers, often late never late, he picks grapes full of sun and fruit, refreshed by a deep minerality. In his cellar, his wines take their time, move at their own pace, as if they were enjoying Claude’s company as long as possible like us! They are rich wines, often very generous in aromas, we often find a very marked exotic component, with wide and gourmet mouths … wines full of fruit and life.
